Policies & Procedures
At the time of booking an appointment we ask for a 50% deposit of the groom booking. This deposit can be rolled over to another date if rescheduling 48 hours before the booking, or refunded. If the appointment is cancelled within 48 hours of the booking or not attended, the deposit is none transferable or refundable.
The Groom Shack will not brush out heavy or tight matting. For the welfare of the dog, we may deem that an area (or all of the dog) will need a close shave down where matting has began or is causing distress to a dog. Our groomers will discuss this with owners when the dog has been dropped off or if found later in the groom, the groomer will get in contact with the owner to discuss the options. There is an extra charge if a shave down is required.
The welfare of the dogs is the most important factor for us at The Groom Shack. If at any point of a groom a dog becomes distressed we will stop the groom. We ask all owners to advise us on any issues a dog may have had in the past with grooming as this could effect the appointment, we may be able to adjust certain aspects to make it a more comfortable experience for the dog.
If a customer is running late to an appointment we may not be able to complete the groom but we will try to adjust the groom so the dog still leaves well presented. We will still need to charge the full groom price.
